Throughout a career spanning leadership roles at Willis Towers Watson and Korn Ferry, Dr. Mary Cianni discovered a recurring truth: deals do not fail because of financial spreadsheets; they fail because leaders

miss the human moments that matter. Beginning her career in psychology,

Mary recognized early on that organizational transformation requires listening with a "third ear"—bringing calmness, clarity, and trust to moments of intense uncertainty. Neither a traditional transactional coach nor an overly academic theorist, Mary acts as an executive thought partner.

With two authored books (The Consultant's Compass and Step Forward), she provides leaders with practical, courage-driven frameworks to turn disruption into lasting organizational strength.

Mary was a tenured Associate Professor of Management at Susquehanna University. Following a full-time career as a consultant, she returned to academia as Clinical Associate Professor of Organizational Consulting at New York University. At both institutions, she was honored to receive teaching excellence awards.

Mary publishes articles on a range of workplace topics in professional and peer-reviewed journals. She has been featured in a variety of media outlets and is a frequent keynote speaker.

She holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Penn State University.
